Originally from Manchester, I came to London in 1985 and cut my teeth on the London market on Upper Street in Islington. I joined Hotblack Desiato in 1987 and became a Director in the early 1990’s. I currently head the Sales team in Camden. Even after all these years I still get a buzz from the business, whether gaining an instruction, the cut and thrust of negotiation or successfully concluding a sale. I am married to Marion and have 2 sons. I am a keen golfer and lifelong supporter of Manchester City – a true test of character for anyone, though it has become a little easier in recent years!
I was born and brought up in Highbury, before studying in Camden later for sixth form. I know the area like the back of my hand I’ve seen how it’s changed and developed for the better over recent years. I joined Hotblack Desiato in March 2023 as a letting negotiator and six months later started a hybrid role doing sales also. This has given broader knowledge of the industry and haven’t looked back since, learning lots and maintaining an honest approach to work. I love meeting new people and ultimately helping them find a new property whether that be renting or buying. Outside of work I love to watch and play football. I’m a big Arsenal fan which has been character building to say the least growing up!
Going to Highbury area had been an interesting experience, surprisingly very similar to West Hampstead in that it has that a very local feel, with a group of residents that know the area well and are very invested into it which gives it the special community feel.
After 4 great years in the Highbury Office I moved over to the Camden Office as the new Lettings Manager, thoroughly looking forward to the new role, as a long term Camden resident it will be interesting to finally start working in the area which I have lived I for so long!
After over 10 years working the property industry in North London I still enjoy going out to meet people and helping them on their journey in finding a new home and seeing the interesting range of properties.
