OWNER'S THOUGHTS We've been at 19 Finsbury Park Road for just over four years and during that time we've made this flat our home. Finsbury Park Road benefits from wide pavements, no through traffic, charming Victorian houses, friendly neighbours and incredible access, making it one of the best residential streets in London.Easily accessible on foot are a long list of great restaurants, pubs, bars, independent shops and services in Finsbury Park, Highbury, Stoke Newington, Newington Green and Stroud Green. Our favourite places to eat nearby include Salt & Finks, Sage, Salt the Radish, Osteria Tufo, The Good Egg, La Fabrica and Yard Sale but there are loads more we could mention. This property's proximity to Finsbury Park Station makes getting around London and even travelling further afield, a doddle. You can be at Kings Cross or Euston in about 10 minutes, Oxford Circus in 15, and go direct to Gatwick and Heathrow too. We could go on, but you get the idea: this place is the centre of the earth! Another thing we've found really useful to have nearby are big stores like Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, Homebase and Ikea. All of these can be reached on foot aside from Ikea in Edmonton which is best reached by road in as little as 12 minutes. We chose 19 Finsbury Park Road partly because of the amazing roof terrace. Little did we know quite how valuable it would become. Whether it be working, eating or reading, we've spent a lot of time out there, especially over the past 6 months. It's an oasis of calm and such a pleasant place to be. And, if you want to trade the terrace for bigger open spaces, you have Finsbury Park and Clissold Park nearby. Although they're quite different in character, both have plenty to offer. Like the terrace, these parks were a godsend during lockdown.Whoever is lucky enough to live here after us will enjoy a quiet, cosy home in which they can entertain, relax and work. We'd love to stay and will genuinely really miss this place but a new job in Bristol means that relocation to the West Country is necessary. Good luck with your search and we hope this home ticks all of your boxes.
