INSIDER'S GUIDE - THE OWNER'S THOUGHTS The best thing about De Barowe Mews is that whilst the shops of Highbury Barn and the green space of Highbury Fields are on our doorstep, living here is incredibly tranquil and peaceful. The property sits in a secure gated Mews with very convenient off-street parking adjacent to the house. Bi-folding doors connect a thoughtfully designed kitchen with the rear, secluded patio where we love to eat outside in Spring and Summer. The dining room is spacious enough for a marble table that can extend to accommodate 12 guests (as we do for Xmas). The master bedroom and living rooms are really generous spaces: there's room for a super king-sized bed, cot and custom wardrobe in the former and a huge family sofa and extra-large OLED TV in the latter. On the top floor are two bedrooms with extremely high ceilings and abundant natural light, one of which has been converted to a brilliant home office that has seen almost constant use in the past 18 months. Also on this floor is a very handy utility room with excellent eaves storage and my favourite part of the house, a superb, decked roof terrace with glass panels that we use daily for both fitness and relaxation. We're only selling because with 2 young children and a 3rd quite likely, we need somewhere slightly bigger now. We like the area so much, though, that we're moving just a couple of minutes down the road.
