We might have a bit of an offbeat name, but our aim is simple: to change your mind about estate agents by giving you the best experience possible.
A bit of background
We begin our tale in Islington, Upper Street (N1) to be specificâŚ
But first, letâs address the elephant in the room: yes, there is a character in Hitchhikerâs Guide to the Galaxy named Hotblack Desiato. Yes, they are named after us. No, we didnât just pull this name out of thin air, itâs actually the last names of our two founders.
Now thatâs out of the way, back to our story.
After our successes in Islington, we decided to move further across the North and open a new office in Camden, covering areas like Primrose Hill, Regentâs Park, Hampstead, Euston, Kentish Town and Tufnell Park. Wherever we went, we used our unique and personalised approach to help homeowners, renters and landlords, making sure we treated every case as unique.
The final piece in our puzzle was an office in Highbury park, which gave us more access to Finsbury Park, Highbury, Stroud Green and Lower Holloway. This triumvirate now allows us to cover almost every area in Zone 2 (above the river, obviously), and weâre continuously reminded why this is the best area to be working in London.
As for the future? Weâre hoping to expand even further into North London, but staying true to our core of providing an âout of this worldâ estate agency experience.

Though we make a few jokes here and there, we take our responsibility as estate and letting agents very seriously. Which is why weâve got an extensive range of accreditations to our name, and are members of various professional bodies. These include:
- The Property Ombudsman â this organisation handles disputes between consumers and agents.
- ARLA / NAEA Propertymark Ââ this professional organisation protects the rights of tenants and homebuyers.
- Safe Agent â this is the best-known accreditation scheme for agents in the UK.
- NFOPP â this awards specialist qualifications in the industry.
- The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) â this protects tenant deposits, in accordance with the law.
